My Klimek Review

Like many people who are in a nursing school program we have all heard about the different ways people pass their NCLEX. The level of opportunities are very overwhelming. For me the one consistent direction many nurses I encountered agreed upon was U-World and Mark Klimek. I found some of his stuff online and started to use it but found it to be initially too cumbersome. It wasn't until I met a nurse who told me how to purchase this program online and advised it makes way more sense to actually go through it in person or online. As a graduation gift a friend bought the full program for me and everything that I was told about the program was absolutely correct. For a different way at looking at key nursing principles Klimek does an amazing job at presenting the best way to remember specific information. As you go through each of the classes I was able to take notes and work my way through each lesson relatively with ease and gain something each time. Now that I am in the blue book I am working through all of the lessons trying to commit them to memory and understanding while immersing myself in the blue book. As the blue book does a great job giving concise points for many important disease processes and key nursing information I am using it in tandem with certain online testing programs. My personal way of trying to master the principles is going through each Yellow Book lesson first as a review, finding all of the corelating disease processes in the blue book then creating specific tests around what I just studied in Klimek. Before I started doing this I would blindly just do random tests online and try to study everywhere my deficiencies were based on the testing data and I didn't seem to be making any progress. After this new way using Klimek and the online programs together I have witnessed a dramatic improvement in online scores. As I haven't taken the NCLEX yet I won't know until then how effective my strategy is but I feel as though this process is the most effective way to do this. Pass or fail I will keep using Klimek until I pass my NCLEX and will advise anyone willing to listen that this program really works and should be implemented throughout a person's entire nursing education. I am very grateful to have discovered it. I have since taken and passed the NCLEX and here is my personal path to completing it. First I did only the Klimek program. I watched each class at least twice and then filled out each of the yellow book handouts at least 3 if not more times (laminating a single copy to use an white board marker so you can erase works amazing). I did this until I could relay all of the information back without having to review again. Once I finished watching each course twice I then each night did practice tests on various "Chunks" of information that was in each of the Klimek classes. All you have to do is when you create your test (this works in ATI, Kaplan, U-World, and ATI) just tell the system what topics you want to focus on. I then kept taking these tests using Klimek's theories and passed all of the tests. Now it doesn't cover everything so where Klimek falls short you will have to add to your notes or just review the materials. This whole process took about a month and I worked everyday and every weekend. On my NCLEX there was so much that I didn't know but using the tips and strategies seriously helped me break the questions down and I did the best I could to answer them. My test stopped at 85 questions and I found out soon after that I had passed my test. AGAIN I WILL SAY - If you incorporate what Klimek teaches as you go through nursing school and master it along the way with each test nursing school and the NCLEX won't be as difficult and you will be better equipped to manage it.

Many things I learned in this course were not explained clearly or mentioned at all in my nursing school. I wish I had known the strategies and principles taught in this course during my nursing program. Anyone preparing for the NCLEX exam MUST watch these videos. The concepts are taught clearly and succinctly. The strategies to remember the facts and concepts are exceptional. It's a MUSt watch for the NCLEX takers!

I'm almost 100% sure the symbols used for "Greater Than or Equal to" in the Toxic Level Column are backwards. ( ≤ was used instead of ≥ ) Hi Joseph, Mark uses the correct symbols for comparing therapeutic and toxic levels. It was great. However, the translations were way off and there's a part where Mark uses the wrong symbol to indicate less than. I enjoyed the lectures and was happy to have access for 90 days. However, I think for people who ay not pass NCLEX on the first time should be given more time considering the cost of the course. I took my RN and passed after studying for about 11 days. I passed with 85 questions! I liked the psych drugs lecture because I struggled with remembering them in the past. However, I got like 1 question from that topic. The most helpful part of the Course is tips on answering SATA questions and prioritization. I got a lot of questions on that! Thank you!

I have to say that this is one of the most amazing courses I have ever done! I had to sit through three days of ATI live, and it was horrible! However, your course left me wanting more each day! I purchased my on-demand course on Saturday afternoon and finished by Tuesday evening. I did not rush through stuff. I took my time, and I wrote everything down on the downloadable PDFs for each section. I feel very prepared for my exam. I will not go into it, expecting to get the minimum number of questions. When I took my LPN exam, I did not go in, expecting to get the minimum number of questions either. I was very euphoric when I did get the minimum number. I will definitely recommend this course to others as I feel it is a great asset! Thank you once again to Mark and to Trevor for putting this course together to help Nursing students to gain a better understanding of concepts. Rating the online course

I can't give this course five starts simply because this is the same price as the in person course and we do not have the same benefits. I reached out with questions via email weeks ago and never received a response. I loved the course however and love how Mark breaks down information. But I am still lost as to whether or not purchasing the app, the online blue book and this online coarse was the equivalent of getting the full coarse and the physical blue book? Well, I guess we will see how things go!

Even though I only had a week to NCLEX i feel like this really helped and it was attainable. I did pass my NCLEX and did it on my first try. Thanks so much for all the info. This is amazing! I have access to the entire course for 90 days which allow me to watch and rewatch. Downloading the sections allow me to print and reprint blank copies so I can test myself. THIS IS AMAZING!!!

Maternal Newborn

I did terrible on maternal -newborn in nursing school. If I had only had this lecture then! Thank you for helping me to understand the fetal heartrate patterns and the interventions for labor and birth complications. Important: The first quiz asks questions about the stages of labor which is not taught until the second lecture. In the second lecture, Mark neglected to teach about lochia in the postpartum assessment section on p. 56.

Diabetes Mellitus

The lecture and notes are great but the quiz have incorrect answers that do not mach what was reviewed in lecture and notes. Answer feedback video gives answers different than the answer given as correct in the question. This issue is distracting and counterproductive, since I have to keep double checking to find out what is right and what is not. I have seen this issue in previous lectures up to this one as well. I did not expect to see this type of mistakes on a product that cost 400 dollars.

Highly Recommend - Passed the NCLEX in 85 Questions on my First Try

I loved Klimek Reviews! I used the On-Demand Course for Next Gen NCLEX. I liked how the course kept you organized, and you could track your progress. I also loved Klimek's lectures. He teaches very straight forward, and provides amazing mnemonics and interesting ways to remember things. Not only did this course help me pass the NCLEX in 85 questions (the minimum amount) on my first try, but it also taught me information that I will take into my nursing career!

Amazing course! If I can give more than 5 stars I would have. To be honest, I actually did my NCLEX in 2016 for LPN and again in 2019 for the RN exam and passed first time both times (used Mark Klimek reviews back then as well). My nursing career as a RN has been primarily in administration, so I felt I lost a lot of nursing knowledge since I didn’t use it in direct patient care from then to now. I therefore made use of this on demand course in 2024 to review for my Nurse Practitioner (NP) boards. Yes, I said I used this powerful review from Mark Klimek to review basic nursing knowledge to help me prepare for my NP boards. That is how great this review is. I truly appreciate it and always highly recommend Mark Klimek reviews. The review questions and explanations for each section led by Trevor were exceptional as well. Great explanations all in a calming teaching manner. I hope and pray one day you all create an official review for NP’s, but again this allowed me to review nursing knowledge & I was able to build upon this and continue getting ready for my NP boards. Thank you all for taking the time to make such a great review course.

I thought the course was super super helpful! It really goes through the things you MUST need to know and gives you FANTASTIC ways to remember the information. One of the things that I really loved is that Mark does not overload you with information to the point that you don't remember anything which I feel like many review courses/videos do. The only minor annoyance I had was that you couldn't access all the lecture outlines at once. I like to have hard copies of things and wanted to print the lecture outlines. Therefore, that really limited where I could access the course because I had to be somewhere that had a printer. Overall, I would 1000% recommend this course and the only improvement that I would suggest would be the ability to print all the lecture outlines at once or at least a couple at a time.

Wonderful course! Helped me pass the NCLEX-RN!

There are not enough words to describe how helpful this course was for me after finishing my BSN. I felt unprepared after completing three HESI exams which I felt were much harder than the NCLEX. I had to accept the fact that the style of the questions and knowledge of fundamentals were much more important than trying to know everything. Mark's way of explaining fundamental concepts and having them "stick" helped me so much in narrowing my focus and lessening my testing anxiety. Taking the NCLEX was the best experience I had "during school". If only I had instruction like this during school, I probably would've taken the NCLEX much sooner after graduation since I would've felt like I'd been equipped with the knowledge and confidence to pass the exam. I Finally Passed with the help of Klimek Review!

I’ve taken the NCLEX twice before passing. When I was approved to test for the third time I found Dr. Sharon on You Tube in July 2024. I signed up for the Subscription and later decided to take the Review (she would talk about it on the YouTube videos) which was everything (really more) than a person needs to pass the NCLEX. The bottom line is we know the information, but you have to specifically know how to test for the NCLEX and that is what Klimek reviews provides. The most important element to passing is what they teach. The Blue Book is also very helpful and provides a wealth of knowledge. What helped me the most was taking the Klimek Review, listening to it several times….and watching Dr. Sharon break down questions. With those two elements you can definitely pass. I didn’t do the group tutoring because when I thought to do it I was 2 weeks away from testing, but if I didn’t pass that was going to be my next step. But thank God I passed!!!!! I appreciate Klimek so much! They saved my life!

Refresher Course

Absolutely love Mark K. I attended his live session March 31 to April 2 in Ohio and learned so much. I wouldn’t say that I’ve struggled through nursing school as some things really clicked for me, but it definitely wasn’t a breeze at some points. My friends and I would joke about how we would’ve shed a lot less tears if our professors taught the way Mark does. He is very informative and gives very helpful tips on how to remember information (i.e., Cushman!). With my test date coming up, I decided to take the online on-demand course as a refresher and it was extremely helpful. If anyone’s worried about the on-demand course not being as informative as the live lectures, I promise you that the content remains the same - the only difference is the virtual lessons lack questions from other students (there is a discussion feature with the lectures if you do have a question). Overall I would recommend Mark K to any and everyone studying for NCLEX.

I put large amounts of stress on myself in trying to remember ever detail about different processes, so this course help me be able to understand what details and side effects or symptoms were major to remember. Graduated in 2012 from the Philippines. I was denied to take the Nclex in CA, which discouraged me. Because of the nursing shortage I decided to apply, and was given the green light.
